Goal of Fame
Born at the intersection of sports culture and visual storytelling, Goal of Fame reimagines legendary goals, and iconic football moments as structured, minimalist compositions. Instead of traditional memorabilia, the brand offers emotionally resonant, design-forward wall art for fans who value both football and aesthetics.
What started as a creative experiment evolved into a scalable e-commerce business. Over five years, I built and refined the entire ecosystem: defining the niche positioning, developing a repeatable visual framework for collections, establishing print-on-demand production workflows, and launching a Shopify-powered storefront optimized for conversion.
As founder and product lead, I owned the project end-to-end, from brand identity and art direction to product development, pricing strategy, automation, and marketing. Every design decision was guided by a single principle: turn emotional sports moments into timeless, high-quality objects people are proud to display.
How do you create a differentiated product in a saturated market while maintaining strong visual quality and a clear brand voice?
The core challenge was turning emotional football moments into premium visual products that fans would want on their walls. This meant building a scalable product and design system that could grow with the brand. I also had to balance design quality with real-world production and fulfillment constraints, and find ways to drive traffic and conversions in a competitive e-commerce space.
This journey has provided me with unique insights and the opportunity to blend my two greatest passions—football and design—into creating prints that genuinely resonate with football enthusiasts.
Aníbal Salido Founder, Goal of Fame
I started by defining the brand positioning and developing a distinctive visual style with a strong storytelling approach. The goal was to create a consistent identity that would work across products, packaging, and marketing channels.
On the product side, I designed artwork collections and layouts, developed print-ready formats and product variations, and ensured consistency across product pages, packaging, and marketing assets. For the e-commerce experience, I designed and built the online store with a focus on clarity, storytelling, and conversion. Mobile-first usability and performance were priorities throughout. Growth came through experimentation: visual content for organic and paid campaigns, testing different product formats, pricing, and messaging, and iterating based on user behavior and sales data.
I wore every hat on this project. I defined the product vision and brand identity, designed the full visual system and product aesthetics, and built and optimized the e-commerce experience from scratch. Beyond design, I managed production, fulfillment, and supplier coordination. I also led marketing, content creation, and growth experiments to find what resonated with customers.
The result was a cohesive brand and product ecosystem that combined strong visual identity with a smooth shopping experience. The platform allowed for fast iteration on new designs while maintaining consistent quality and branding.
I successfully launched and scaled a niche e-commerce brand, building a recognizable visual identity within the football design space. Continuous sales and user feedback validated product-market fit. The project gave me hands-on experience across design, product development, and growth.
Goal of Fame strengthened my ability to think like both a designer and a founder. It taught me to balance creativity, usability, business constraints, and growth. The project reinforced the importance of strong visual identity, fast iteration, and user-focused storytelling in building successful digital products.
